Carnival Inspiration - Destinations
Offering 4- or 5-day trips to the Western Caribbean. Carnival Cruise Inspiration will sail from Tampa, Florida to two ports (per her current itineraries), Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.
Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands, and it is a diver's paradise. Only minutes from the famous Seven Mile Beach, the West Wall is a dive site renowned for its beauty and for the fact that experienced or amateurs will be able to explore it. Visit the Cayman Turtle Farm. By far the most popular land attraction on Grand Cayman, it is home to over 16,000 green sea turtles that range in size from six ounces to six hundred pounds each.
Explore downtown George Town. It has lots of tiny churches, memorial, and architecture that hearken back to its British colonial period. And don't forget to send a postcard from Hell, a little district in the West Bay. Strewn with jagged and weathered onyx rock formations that conjure images of the sinister Underworld, Hell is actually a great place to visit.
Cozumel, Mexico just so happens to be another amazing place to dive (if it was good enough for Jacques Cousteau. ). The Palancar Reef, a dive site there, is home to thousands of beautifully decorated fish. However, for those who wish to stay above sea level, if not exactly dry, there are lots of other things to do and see. As far as climate goes, the time in between October and April is usually the coolest, usually reaching the low to mid-80s and low humidity.
In summer, the temperature is not much higher, but can get very humid. Still, any time is a good time to visit. Visit the Mayan Ruins of Tulum or El Cedral, spend the day at Xcaret Eco-Archaeological Park, or just fall into the world of a paperback novel on the beach.
