What is the NEWEST Carnival cruise ship?

The right answer (for now), guys, is Carnival Sunshine! She was originally built as Carnival Destiny and when in 1996 entering service was the first ever built passenger ship over 100,000 tons gross tonnage. Carnival Sunshine is Destiny-class lead ship and has four Carnival sister ships: Carnival Victory and Carnival Triumph sailing for Carnival, Costa Magica and Costa Fortuna sailing for Costa.

Carnival Sunshine is a 17-year-old completely refurbished vessel with new features including restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, new partial deck and 182 new cabins. The refitting took place in Trieste, Italy and was completed May 2013. Its total cost reached $155 million for 49 days transformation.

If anyone sailed on Carnival Destiny, would be too confused to recognize where she ends and where the new Sunshine begins - changes are profound. A few features only remained - the palm tree design punctuating spaces between passengers' cabins and the copper-colored bizarre iron structures on areas that lead to the corridors. Otherwise, the ship is Carnival Sunshine.
