The Star Clippers’ fleet offers guests a choice of three striking vessels, sisters Star Clipper and Star Flyer and the larger, 225-guest capacity Royal Clipper. The size of the ships allows them to easily access a wide diversity of smaller ports and harbours that are often rendered inaccessible to larger cruise ships – and as such Star Clippers are a great choice if you are a lover of small ship cruises and looking to discover some off-the-beaten-track destinations on your cruise holiday.
Life onboard with Star Clippers is simple and unhurried. The accommodation is well-appointed and comfortable while the dining options are refined and offer enough choice to suit a wide range of palates. Each ship has a bar located on the deck, a library and a moderately-sized lounge area where guests can a wonderfully informal ambiance as they sail towards the next port of call.
Perfectly suited to lazy days at sea, all three of Star Clippers’ vessels boast ample deck space so that guests can enjoy the voyage alongside their fellow travellers or find a more secluded spot for some quiet time with a good book.
For the more actively-minded, those wishing to participate in the unfurling of sails or try their hand at scaling the rigging are more than welcome to do so. This is something we would highly recommend - there really is nothing that compares to the glorious views proffered from the crow’s nest of an authentic tall-ship.
