ABOUT THE “ALASKAN STORY”
The 90 foot yacht Alaskan Story is among the smallest of our small cruise ships. Acommodating only 8 guests, it is large and fast with spacious, comfortable common areas for sight-seeing, reading, visiting, listening to music, viewing videos, or just relaxing. The owners, with a combined 50 years’ experience chartering in Alaska, designed it for intimate Alaska Inside Passage cruising.
She has an all-new teak interior. All appliances as well as all marine machinery have recently been replaced. She has a large enclosed upper deck wheelhouse. The galley, saloon, dining area and day head are all on the main level. Two aft staterooms have walk-around queen beds and the forward two staterooms have two twins. There is a TV lounge forward.
Of course, all staterooms have a private en suite bathroom. The yacht has a water maker capable of producing over 1200 gallons a day. The Alaskan Story provides the comfort and luxury of the finest of homes.
The Alaskan Story carries a 17-foot Boston Whaler and a smaller inflatable, as well as two double kayaks to allow getting ashore in remote areas, fishing, crabbing, and exploring.
Alaskan Fishing on the Alaskan Story
One of the great thrills we offer our guests is the opportunity to catch a mighty king salmon or a gigantic halibut from the cockpit of the Alaskan Story. On our yacht, you can fish from our Boston Whaler outfitted with down-riggers, radio, fish finder and new Honda 4-cycle outboard. Or, if you prefer, you can fish without ever leaving the comfort and convenience of your yacht. You can sit on a covered rear deck and troll for salmon with the crew who, while catering to all your needs, net and clean your catch for you. We only serve seafood that you, your friends or one of the crew caught – probably hours earlier. We will also drop crab pots and savor fresh caught Dungeness crab.
Everything served will be the freshest available. Of course, the food is exquisite; truly a highlight of every day – comparable to the finest of restaurants.
Total Comfort
The Alaskan Story is a safe, fast, tastefully decorated and a very comfortable yacht. She has a Naiad Stabilization system. The Alaskan Story has large interior spaces with great visibility and covered decks for watching wildlife if the weather turns bad. The staterooms are big and bright with individual temperature controls for heat and air-conditioning. You are pampered with feather beds and down comforters and pillows. Each stateroom has its own bathroom and shower.
