It began in 1977, quite unexpectedly. I was 40, married, six kids, and living in Clearwater, FL. The travel company that hired me must have been desperate, I mean seriously, they were. They needed someone willing to escort groups to various destinations from a one day shopping trip in Tampa, to a seven-day Caribbean cruise. I said yes, and that's how it began.
