Carnival Cruise Line’s Dry Dock Schedule and Upgrades 2016-18

Total Shares

Every five years, cruise ships go into dry dock for routine maintenance and to have new features added to the ships.

When cruise ships go into dry dock, they receive routine hotel maintenance (new beds etc) and cosmetic upgrades in public areas that include lighting, new carpet, tile work, and wall coverings. Lately, cruise lines have also been adding new restaurants (Guy’s Burger Joint on Carnival), water slides, new staterooms, and giant outdoor TV screens to ships that do not have them. Also, the dry dock gives cruise lines time to work on parts of the ships that are under the water line (azipods, propellers etc).

Since many cruisers enjoy cruising on ships that have recently been updated, here is Carnival Cruise Line’s schedule for dry dock upgrades for their cruise ships.

    Carnival Liberty – December 1-16, 2016 Carnival Ecstasy (receiving 2.0 upgrades) – January 10-24, 2017 Carnival Dream – January 29 through February 11, 2017 Carnival Sensation (receiving 2.0 upgrades) – February 9-22, 2017 Carnival Glory – February 25 through March 10, 2017 Carnival Breeze – April 16-29, 2017 Carnival Elation – August 31 through September 27, 2017 Carnival Conquest – September 30 through October 13, 2017 Carnival Legend – May 1-14, 2018 Search Cheap Cruises on Carnival Cruise Line
