As both Carnival and Royal Caribbean have a vast amount of ships, the type of staterooms available vary widely. Both offer four tiers of rooms: interior, outside view, balcony and suite staterooms. However, Carnival has more variety of interior stateroom options over its entire fleet. These include basic interior staterooms, interior rooms with port holes and bunk-style staterooms with a pull-down bed. Carnival also offers exclusive spa staterooms across all room tiers. These are close to the Cloud 9 Spa and include specialty spa amenities and priority spa reservations. Royal Caribbean, on the other hand, offers a greater variety of staterooms across all tiers. For example, interior stateroom options include stylish studios for single travelers and spacious interior rooms with virtual balconies. It also features a number of interconnected staterooms ideal for families. Royal Caribbean also has more luxury suite options, including a variety of two-level loft suites with an expansive balcony, a private wet bar, hot tub on the balcony, library and baby grand piano.
